Dulce Vida is a magazine celebrating Hispanic culture in the US and this particular issue is centered around Mexican candy. I created the table of contents first and took pictures of different sorts of Mexican candy. The candy of this culture is spicy and therefore needed imagery that effectively portrays that, to do so I poured some spicy chamoy sauce on a pan, sprinkled tajin (spicy powder commonly used on fruits in Mexico) on top and photographed it. I think it is important to not limit yourself and create your own scenes to enhance your vision when creating something. The same images were used for the website and rearranged to keep it consistent and show variety.
The candy images were taken and then manipulated in photoshop to clean them up more and keep some of its vibrancy. Here below is an overview of the process :
